Hello and welcome to Belfry International School! My name is Gulliver Bostrom, and I am the head teacher here. I have been with the school from the start and look forward to leading it in delivering high quality education to eager young learners for many years to come.

I have worked in various educational systems for over 12 years. As a teacher I have worked in both Europe and Asia, experiencing schools of different sizes and specialisations, and getting to know students from different backgrounds and age groups. Before stepping into my role as founding head teacher at Belfry, I worked as a head teacher in an international elementary school in Sweden, where two of my main missions were to create a system for documenting student progress and improving the communication channels both internally and externally.

At Belfry, our mission is to give our students the best possible start for their school years and ultimately the best possible start for successful and happy lives. This mission has shaped both our educational approach and the physical design of the school. The children get to learn English, Chinese and Thai with native speakers, preparing them for success both in Thai society and internationally.

To ensure that the education meets the highest international standards for learning, care and development, we are using the British curriculum EYFS for children up to five years old, and The National British Curriculum for children older than five as a basis for our education. In accordance with Montessori principles, the school area provides a beautiful, harmonic and safe environment that invites children to engage in movement and physical activity. The furniture and tools are all selected to support learning and development, and they are adapted to be just the right size for our young learners.

During my years of working in schools, I have come to understand the importance of motivating students and making progress visible. In their younger years, children are motivated to play. The strong drive of children to play can be directed toward learning by providing them with environments full of opportunities to learn through play with having clear learning goals for both academic and social development. Belfry is a place where children acquire academic, social and life skills by engaging in hands on and enjoyable learning activities, where their progress is closely followed in order to give them the best possible guidance on their paths to reach their full potential.
